Frequently Asked Questions for Residential Moves
How much notice do you need to get on the schedule?
We recommend getting on our schedule as soon as you have a date in mind. However, we are often able to take last minute or even same day work, so give us a call!
How much will my move cost?
Please call us for an estimate. We charge an hourly rate with an hour and a half minimum charge on labor. In addition to the actual move time we charge a travel fee based on the move location.
Do you move appliances?
Yes, we move standard appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc. We do not move commercial grade appliances. We ask that you disconnect and reconnect them (including water lines).
Do you protect the hardwood floors?
Yes, we can lay down rug runners over the hardwood floors (2ft by 20ft) For safety reasons, we cannot use them on stairs. We also have door jamb covers to ensure your doorways don’t get damaged.
Do you disassemble and reassemble beds?
Yes we do, as long as no unusual tools are needed and you have the necessary hardware.
Are stairs an extra charge?
We do not charge extra for stairs. When booking your move we will want to understand the logistics to provide an accurate estimate.
Do you provide packing services and materials?
Yes, we provide a full pack and move service. We have packing materials (boxes, paper, tape) available at our office for purchase. We can also bring them out at the time of your job.
Do dressers need to be emptied?
Clothing and linens are okay to stay in the dresser, but please remove any loose items or anything breakable.
Do you need to come out and do an estimate?
We are generally able to give a good estimate over the phone. However, if you home is around 3000 sq ft or more, we like to come out to give an estimate in person. We also like to do an in person estimate for most packing jobs.
